RE: just curious, where to, and why? ~Umberto Nongeroson 14.May.03 10:14 AM a Web browser Domino Server 6.0.1Windows 2000
thanks. this is just really interesting, considering that MS has said that "Kodiak", the next version of Exchange after E2003, will require SQL Server "Yukon". And that deploying Windows 2003 Servers means deploying IIS 6, Exchange 2003, etc. as the old versions will not run on Windows 2003. Both of those sound like " implementing a product that they never asked for and didn't bargain on being forced to implement when they purchased".
In our world, let's be clear -- there will continue to be Notes/Domino releases well into the future. The parallel path of J2EE-based technologies may be attractive, even compelling, for a number of organizations, but we are not taking the MS rip-and-replace approach. 6.5 is in beta now, "7.0" features have been demonstrated publicly...that road will continue.
